I have been working in the IT industry for most of my career, beginning with office automation market research when the term was first coined. A good part of my professional career was spent in Hong Kong, analyzing and describing the Asian marketplace for desktop appliances for my own research company and later for IDC. Since relocating to Silicon Valley, I have taken on several roles weaving between entrepreneurial activities and as a consultant. The common theme among them is recognizing the dynamic shifts in technology and market acceptance.
